Travelers Three
Travelers Three is the first story I wrote after I retired from my career as a dancer. It features three young "hybrid" animals; the Squabbit (half jackrabbit and half squirrel), the Bobawk (half bobcat and half hawk), and the Coatagilabird (half coati and half vulture). They run into three large saguaro cacti and discover that magic happens once the night falls!
Animal Spirits
These illustrations make up what I call my "Animal Spirit" collection. Here is the first in a series that features The Jackrabbit (Antelope Jackrabbit), The Wolf (Mexican Grey Wolf), The Owl (Great Horned Owl), The Snake (Diamondback Rattlesnake), and The Hawk (Harris Hawk). All five animals are inspired by creatures of the Sonoran Desert, and their markings convey specific meanings of their nature as I see it.
